SCDIRB copy has mounted on front paste-down endpaper: a gray postage stamp (DDR 50, issued 1971) bearing a portrait of Kepler signed by Stauf and Volkamer. There is also evidence of repaired/removed autographs on the title page

SCDIRB copy has laid in: A printed bookseller's citation ([2] p. on 2 leaves) for a different copy of this edition, also owned by the Burndy Library (formerly J. Horrocks' copy)

SCDIRB copy has an old half-vellum binding with marbled paper boards, raised bands, gilt-tooled spine, red leather spine label, and brown spattered edges; re-backed. Housed in a later beige cloth slipcase, 29 cm. The edges are closely cropped, affecting the side-notes and diagrams on some leaves (e.g. leaf 2A4)
